Big Game Hunting in the Selway Bitterroot Mountains
I’ve been a coon hunter all my life. It was a lifelong dream of mine to go on a cougar hunt with hounds. Joe packs 9 hammer down, stay-put tree dogs. My hunt was in the first part of February and there had not been new snow for a couple of weeks. We treed 2 bobcats and 3 lions in 4 days. I was amazed. We treed my. 130 pound to 140 pound Tom on the fourth day. Food was awesome and the hospitality was the best. Joe does everything possible for a successful hunt. Thank you Joe!
Growing up my old man always told me about the incredible memories he had chasing bugling bulls in Idaho’s selway region. Naturally when we were deciding on an elk hunt, Idaho was the only choice we wanted. Hunting with Joe, John, and jack was one of the best experiences of my life. The camp impecable from running hot water, excellent sleeping arrangements, and amazing attention to detail all around. The greatest part however was how by the end of the trip our guides had become friends.
I recommend anyone looking for a great Rocky Mountain experience to use this outfit. I promise you will not regret it.
